Burwash – not passing through

The amazing thing about most rural places is that at sometime you will see horses, as well as cattle and sheep in the paddocks, and often the horses are being ridden on a road. In search of Bluebells – Ightham Village

It is bluebell time – that means looking for swathes of the things in coppiced woods and wherever they are likely to grow. We headed for Ightham Mote where we intend to walk the woods and gorge on the sight of millions of bluebells as well as have a good walk. Memorabilia and chips

First impression was that we were looking at a building typical of the past glory of the region, perched on the cliff top with access to the sandy beaches, walks to Margate and Ramsgate and of course within easy reach by public transport and motor vehicle of local attractions. You walk in and the memorabilia is there decorating the entrance hall and the reception desk, the whole complimented by a fully operational trellis gated Otis lift. Continue reading

Mature level garden – Horsmonden

We had difficulty finding the place at first. Er, with the signs in place you couldn’t miss it but with our superior navigation, we managed.
